Inspired by the bride's Chinese-American heritage, their wedding design centered around the intricate patterns and rich blue hues of traditional ginger jars. A tradition dating back centuries, ornamental motifs of plum blossoms and the double happiness symbol on the ginger jars hold special significance, symbolizing happiness, resilience, and the blossoming of their love. Letterpress and ginger jars share a kindred history of artisanal craftsmanship, making it the perfect medium to enhance the intricate lines of the original designs with the textured impression of the antique process.

When we saw the photos of Suzie & Hunter's table-scapes, we gasped. Collections of blue and white ginger jars clustered down the centers of their long tables abundant with pale pink blossoms were more than we could have imagined when designing their invitations, and matched absolutely perfectly!

The traditional vivid cobalt blue and porcelain white color palette carried throughout the entire wedding, from each piece of the invitations to the bridesmaids dresses to the ginger jar vases on every table. Understated, classic, letterpress text treatment let the ornamental motifs shine.

Crisp, white ink addressing on sapphire blue envelopes by Letter B Calligraphy was striking in contrast and provided a personalized touch that reflected the couple's dedication to making each guest feel cherished and special. Upon opening the envelope, a graphic double happiness provided a joyful backdrop to the rest of the suite.
